Preswick Farms & Wicklyn Welsh Ponies is located in Dover Delaware. We breed Hanoverians, Oldenburgs and Welsh Ponies. Our first foals were born in 1996. Over the years we have expanded our warmblood breeding. We strive to breed quality dressage and jumping prospects that will make great riding partners. Recently we added three mares to our broodmare band, two imported and one domestically bred. They include the bloodlines of Stedinger, Feinbrand, Matcho, Rohdiamant and Michelangelo. We are very excited about the upcoming foals from these mares.
We breed quality welsh and half welsh ponies suitable for the show ring. Many of our ponies have gone on to do well in the Pony Hunter division and in the Welsh breeding classes. We currently stand the section B Welsh Stallion, Glannant Scarab, (Cusopp Sheriff x Findeln Cricket). We also stand his son, Wicklyn's Kings Ransom. We have chosen broodmares with top hunter bloodlines. As you look through our list of mares you will find Cymraeg Rain Beau, Findeln Blue Danube, Brockwell Spider, Farnley Feres Jacques, and many more. Though we stand our own stallion we also breed to outside stallions. This gives us the opportunity to cross bloodlines that we think will produce outstanding foals.
We are a small breeding farm. We do not ride, train or board at our facility. Most of our horses are sold as young, unstarted prospects. This gives the buyer the opportunity to start the horse in their preferred training program.
